Most of our lab training is aimed at the PhD level, preparing the next generation of scientists in biodiversity science and climate change. However, we also offer lectures to a broad audience, ranging from the general public to highly specialised experts.

Additionally, we organise international courses on species distribution modelling and spatial conservation planning for PhD students and professional researchers. We have also offerred a course on climate change specifically designed for journalists.

Miguel B. Araújo convenes an introductory course in Biogeography for second-year undergraduate students at the University of Évora. He also contributes to other courses, such as “Fundamentals in Ecology and Conservation” and “Grand Environmental Challenges of the Contemporary World.” In the past, he has taught undergraduate and master’s courses at the University of Oxford, University of Copenhagen, and Imperial College London.
