Opening the files:

We provide data as standard text files. The first column is an Id the second and third collumns are lat long coordinates, fourth column is the UTM code of the cell; the following columns are species. Rows are grid cells. Values on the table are potential presences and absences of species in grid cells in binary format (1 presence, 0 absence). You need a GIS to properly visualise the data, although software that is able to plot scatter diagrams (e.g. Excel) can allow you to visualise data.

Map building

To construct maps of distribution the tables can be joined with this UTM cells shapefile for the Iberian penninsula using the common field UTMcode.
